The Old Threshing Mill, Millfield

Welcome to the Old Threshing Mill - The Mill House, the Wheel House and Woodmans - converted mill and steadings at Millfield, Makerstoun. In days gone by the mill was the threshing mill for the local farms, and farmers brought their grain to be threshed. The mill stream still runs through the garden.

Today the old mill and adjoining steadings are converted into 3 luxury cottages, alongside the farmhouse. This is not a working farm, but we are situated in open borders countryside, surrounded by lovely gardens, near the Tweed, 6 miles from Kelso, 4 miles from the conservation village of St Boswells and 43 miles from Edinburgh (see detailed map and directions).
